Tiramisu Cheesecake: The Ultimate Coffee-Infused Dessert
If you're a fan of rich, decadent desserts with a coffee twist, then this Tiramisu Cheesecake is about to become your new favorite indulgence. It's the perfect fusion of two iconic treats—cheesecake and tiramisu—blending layers of creamy cheese filling with bold espresso and chocolate flavors. Plus, it’s crowned with an irresistible coffee-flavored ganache.
Ingredients You'll Need:
Crust:
2 cups of graham cracker crumbs (or use ladyfinger biscuits for an authentic tiramisu feel)
½ cup melted butter
2 tbsp sugar
Cheesecake Filling:
24 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup brewed espresso (cooled)
2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional, for that boozy tiramisu touch)
Tiramisu Layer:
½ cup brewed espresso
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
10-12 ladyfinger cookies
Chocolate Ganache Topping:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Chocolate-covered espresso beans (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prep the Crust:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Mix the graham cracker crumbs (or crushed ladyfinger biscuits) with melted butter and sugar until it forms a sandy texture. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside to cool.
Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Blend in vanilla extract and heavy cream. Finally, pour in the brewed espresso and coffee liqueur, mixing until well combined.
Assemble the Tiramisu Layer:
In a shallow dish, combine the espresso, sugar, and coffee liqueur. Dip each ladyfinger into the mixture, soaking them just enough to absorb the liquid without getting soggy. Place the soaked ladyfingers in an even layer on top of the crust.
Add the Cheesecake Layer:
Pour the cheesecake filling over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out into an even layer. Bake the cheesecake for 50-60 minutes, until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool inside for about an hour.
Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:
Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips. Let it sit for a few minutes, then stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Pour the ganache over the cooled cheesecake.
Garnish & Serve:
For a dramatic touch, garnish the top of your cheesecake with chocolate-covered espresso beans or a light dusting of cocoa powder. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
